Day Sixteen

Today started off with a pleasant 45min ride to Field of Dreams. There is something kind of special about seeing a full baseball field in perfect condition in the middle of a corn field. Worth the 10 minutes to see it and enjoy the tranquility.

Then it was 500 miles on the highway to Sandusky, OH via Chicago, in 95 degree heat and humidity. While sitting, and I mean standstill due to an accident, on I-90 next to the loop in Chicago I realized that this part of the journey was just as important to experience as the emptiness of Wyoming. The trip was to experience everything this country has to offer, from natural beauty to just how much of an impact humans can make on what was once pristine lakeside wilderness.

I wouldn’t trade either experience for anything - both good and bad in their own rights.
