Day Eleven

Last ride of the trip that doesn’t end heading due East. As the last “out” ride of the trip it couldn’t have been any better. I set off from Utah for Wyoming and saw just stunning landscape changes, beautiful roads that had just enough bends in them to keep me interested but it was easy to chug along at 60mph, warm breeze in my face. One of those riding days you wish would go on forever.

Reached the Palisades in Idaho and found a campground off the beaten path, Big Elk Creek, up a winding cliffside dirt road. Setup camp and just hungout for a few hours in the heat of the day in the shade, listening to nature.

Went for a little 50 miles jaunt in the early evening before grabbing dinner (Subway for the second time that day as everything else was closed due to COVID-19). I highly recommend their turkey & ham with avocado, provolone, spinach, green peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes [eyeroll]. Not every meal is amazing, sometimes on these type trips you just eat cause you have to, today was one of those days. It didn’t detract from the scenery or the fun roads at all though.

Bed at sunset in the Idaho mountains, in prep for a ~400 mile day tomorrow up, through and around and out of Yellowstone!
